Barry has developed a schools programme for the introduction to teachers of the pincode to promote understanding of the learners or students.
As your year of birth determines how you function in the classroom, and as most learners in a particular grade were born in the same year, it provides an amazing insight into how a particular group functions.
This enables the teacher to understand the learners and to capitalise on their strengths, but more importantly, to become aware of their vulnerabilities, challenges and very nature.
This new understanding has the potential to promote teacher effectiveness and reduce frustration that stems from ineffective interaction.
